You need a nest aware account but if you are referring to the subscription yes I’ll work wiout a subscription just be aware it won’t save video unless you subscribe and is fairly inexpensive 3 Usd a month for 5 days of video recording then it overlaps and there’s different tiers as far as service

Yes it will work, you don't need a Nest aware subscription, but you won't have access to some features such as zones and the recording storage will only last a day before it's overwritten.

Yes. The app will still notify you if movement is detected. However, it only stores 3 hours of footage, with no options to download.

The Nest Outside camera requires the Nest app but you do not need a paid subscription. The lack of a subscription limits the amount and length of time video is available.

The Nest Cam doesn't require Nest Aware in order to stream 24/7 and provide you with notifications of sound and motion, but if you'd like to have 24/7 video history available, then Nest Aware would be needed.
