“Does this have a setting so that the flood lights automatically detect when it's getting dark and automatically turn on and then turn off when the sun is out the next day? I'd like to have the lights running anytime it is dark out. Thanks!”

Yes. During the day the light does come on but the camera still alerts you when there is motion. At dusk the light will come on

Nest Cam with Floodlight has manual light controls in the Google Home app, besides automation. Leveraging the smart light framework, you can turn on/off floodlight and adjust the brightness anytime. You can also select what triggers your lights to turn on. Your options are Motion, Live viewing, or Camera events.
