Electric baseboard heaters don't use low voltage transformers to operate so I doubt that it would work.

I wasn’t sure if the Nest would be compatible with the older system I had in the vacation house so I took a picture of the wiring diagram after taking the cover off of the existing thermostat controls and sent it to them for review. They not only responded with an answer but sent me a diagram back with how I should configure a Nest to that system.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Their website has a compatibility test that will ask you to answe a few questions to make sure it works with your system specifically. I would use that just to make sure because sometimes a general answer is not the correct one.
