Sure does. I currently use If This Then That as a bridging app that sends me notifications if it dips below or spikes above my presets. It learns your living habits and adjusts accordingly. You can also preset AWAY temps and ECO temps. Also, with that app, you can get notifications in the event your nest goes from AWAY/ECO mode to HOME mode. That would signify someone is in the home, or has tripped the motion detector on it.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, it has safety temps and will send you an alert. It will also kick the heater or AC on accordingly as long as the heater or AC unit is not broken
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I've used mine to keep at a setting and no it doesn't but you can set it to keep it at a certain range. So if it did fall below that temp, it would auto turn the heat on for you (or cool down if it was too hot). You can look on the app while you are away to see what each days temps were. You would just have to check in on the app and see if the heat was used and when. Then adjust it.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. From nest website: If the room temperature drops below the set Safety Temperature, your Nest Thermostat will automatically start heating. You'll receive a push notification on your phone or tablet, as well as a message in the Nest app. Once the temperature has returned to a normal level, another notification will let you know. Important: Notifications about Safety Temperatures rely on an active Wi-Fi and Internet connection in your home at the time of the notification. If your Wi-Fi network is down when the Safety Temperature is reached, you will not receive the notification. Your thermostat will continue to heat while your home Wi-Fi network is offline.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It will send a notice to your phone and adjust if temps become what's considered dangerously low or high. Maybe between 45 - 100 degrees even if the thermostat is set to "off." So technically yes it will. Also, While traveling you can check temps on the app in your phone or online with your account you sign up with Nest. Even manually turn temps up or down from the same mediums. Hope this helps
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I haven't explored email alerts, but you can use the phone app to see what the temperature is at any time at your home.
