i wanna purchase the nest but seen i have 2 wires im not sure where they go one is black and the other is orange , do i just eliminate one ??? null

Nest thermostats are designed to work with most 2-wire 20 - 30V systems. You need to check what the color of the wire is for before you connect it on your Nest Learning Thermostat. The orange wire would go in the O/B terminal. The black I’m not to sure about. It would either go in the * terminal or the C terminal. Hope this helps!
