It does, but really depends on how your system is wired. Use the Nest site to compare your current wiring with their compatibility guide.

The Nest 3G thermostat will control all heating and air conditioning functions as long as your current thermostat has adequate wireing. The best surprise for me was that the Nest 3G thermostat even controls 2-stage heating and ac functions.

It should, it works with 95-98% of systems. Nest has a compatibility checker on their website and will even send you a wiring scheme if you provide the needed information about your system.
