I am not an Electrican, but I think it is immaterial what year your house was built, when was it last rewired?
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It doesn't matter when your home was built, it matters what type of HVAC equipment you have. The NEST works with just about anything: heat pumps, swamp coolers, forced air, whatever. And you need WiFi. That's it.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes. My house was built in 1910 and I had ancient wiring running to an older thermostat... I had no problem connecting it to the system
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Depends on your heating setup. I use mine with baseboard heaters. You have to get a transformer aube rc840t-240/120 if your current thermostat isn't 24v.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It has many different wires that can connect to it. My suggestion is taking off your thermostat and seeing what wires it hooks up to (i.e. Rh for heating, Rc for cooling).
