No it won't, it's just a way for you to have your thermostat sense the temp in another room and trigger it based on that rooms temp only, but it won't alert you.. Its not smart at all. I got these sensors thinking I can program it to turn on the heat when my garage gets close to freezing but that would mean that the entire system would be based on the garage temp only. Pointless
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.You cannot. The unit is not a standalone. It has to be connected to a Nest thermostat. If you do this, then you can see the temp from your phone anytime you want. The nest app will show both the thermostat and the remote temps.
