If you get unlocked model it will definitely work in India. In my opinion all unlocked should be same . , mobile networks in India use the 900 MHz and 1800 MHz frequency bands. Make sure all phone must match these MHZ frequency .

Would most likely work around the World, but you need to do your homework to verify the GSM frequency supported by carrier.
