Customers are saying

Customers are impressed with the Pixel 3a XL's camera quality, describing it as outstanding and still good even in 2024. They also appreciate its affordable price, long battery life, and user-friendly interface. However, some customers have expressed concerns about the limited storage capacity, lack of wireless charging, and choppy speaker audio at high volumes.

Pixel 3a XL was the right choice for us.

Very pleased with the Google Pixel 3a XL. It's a big upgrade from my Note 5. Only thing I miss is the ease of taking notes with the stylus. Everything else works faster and more smoothly. So far I'm pleased with the camera. Portrait mode works great. Did a little night photography last night and it is pretty impressive (attached photo taken handheld at night with Pixel 3a XL). I don't like spending money on a new phone but I feel like going with the Pixel was the right choice. Having something that works well takes the sting out of dropping the cash. We bought 2 Pixels, my husband is pleased with his as well. Best of luck to you. Hope you find the best phone for you and your needs.

I read everything that I could about this phone when I was looking to replace my 1st Gen Pixel XL. What I have found out now that I have used it for a month is that I don't even notice that it is a scaled down version of the premium model. The camera is one of my priority features and it is the best that I have ever had on a phone. My kids are I Phone users and they were wowed by the picture quality. Once I put a case and a glass protector on it any noticeable difference in the build quality is invisible. The sound clarity and processing speed are fine for the personal and work functions that I use all the time. I mainly text, talk, check multiple email accounts and surf favorite websites. For the price I am more than satisfied with the phone. Like most people I want the latest and greatest gadgets but this phone has made me realize that paying $1000 for a phone isn't necessary to have everything I need and more. I am not tied to a contract so I can upgrade if something comes out in a year or so that I absolutely have to have and I will have gotten my money's worth. If I keep it longer I really come out ahead. Google supports for three years so I will continue to get updates through May 2022 . I also get premium Google HD photo storage just for having a Google phone. It has a headphone jack which I love. It isn't waterproof so I do have to be more cautious. This a great deal for the price.

    Best Phone Ever!

Flagship phones get all the attention with gimmicks and features you don't use and SoC that is far beyond your average user needs. Those bigger SoC eat battery life which is already an issue with the normal Pixel lineup. Moving from a Pixel 3 to the 3a XL I don't notice any degradation in day to day performace. What I did notice is my battery life moved from 13 hours to 28 hours. That's not a typo I get over a full day of usage!! I did lose the wireless charging (never used it anyway), waterproof rating and photo specific processor (photos are slightly slower to render but the quality is exactly the same!). There is literally no reason to buy a discounted Pixel 3 or the new flagship Pixel 4. Get the 3a and enjoy a phone that hits everything you really need out of the park and save a ton of cash while doing it!!

To be clear, this phone is incredible. Period. I keep hearing about average specs and other mid-range devices have great specs but average cameras and this one does the opposite.. I've owned a lot of recent mid-range phones, most of them sporting a snapdragon 636 at best. The Moto g7 has a 632, the Moto one has a 625, the Moto 6 from last year had a 435!! This phone has a snapdragon 670 and it's by far the best mid-range chip I've used. It's only to be bested later this year by the snapdragon 675 and 710. This phone packs the best 6 series processor out there, 4gb ram, the best camera period, stock Android with the latest software upgrades, AMOLED full hd+ screen... The list goes on. It's incredible. I just sold a galaxy S10 I paid 950 bucks for and I prefer this phone over that all day. The things you miss are wireless charging and... Yeah. That's it. Most other midrangers are missing NFC, fast charging, full hd, AMOLED.. this phone has it all. Don't buy any expensive flagship, get this phone! Don't buy a cheap junker, spend the extra money on this phone, you won't regret it.

I’ve been using a smartphone since they were first available in the early 90s. They replaced my old Treo which I was very fond of. I watched Obama win his first presidential election on my teeny monochrome screen on my old Kyocera smartphone. Since then I’ve tried a few different Samsung phones. I ruled out Apple’s iPhone because I do not want to be forced into the Apple ecosystem and exorbitant pricing. I was very unhappy with all the bloatware on the Samsungs plus their phones slowed down mightily after using them the first year or two. So recently I gave into trying google’s Pixel 3a XL and I am extremely satisfied with it. It’s the perfect size, has no bloatware, streams audio and video, takes great photos, and has the full array of apps. Best of all was the price. (I attached a birthday card I made on the phone for you to see how versatile it is)

I lovey pixel! I've dropped it a couple times already and the screen isn't even scratched yet. Not to mention, the camera is phenomenal! Some minor issues with Bluetooth on occasion but nothing a quick restart doesn't fix. System updates and restarts are also very quick and easy. I thoroughly enjoy the fact that all my Google accounts and products are easily accessed through here as well. I was surprised to see that night sight was on this model, but I have zero complaints on it

Great phone. The keyboard is a little touchy, and sometimes I find myself trying to push the "m" button but it ends up deleting things because it is so close to the backup button but otherwise the phone is fantastic

I ordered the phone during the memorial day sale and it was mentioned as brand new. However when the phone arrived, the box looked like it was opened. The plastic wrap on the phone and charger looked like it had been taken off and placed back on. The phone looks okay so I will continue using it to see if there are any issues. However I feel cheated to be paying full price for an open box item.

Bought this phone about 2 months ago now and its been perfect so far. Battery life is better than any phone I have had to date. Same is true for the camera. Best two features of the device, especially considering the price. Even as a budget phone, device is much quicker than my OG Pixel. While not as high resolution as more expensive devices, the screen is more than adequate. Having the headphone jack is also nice and helped in my decision to purchase. Only real negative here is that there is no wireless charging, which I would have loved to have.

    Apple like phone on Android

Let me explain the title.... Apple has the ability to make a great phone due to the them optimizing their hardware to their software. Well, Google has taken a low powered processor and has optimized it to run as smooth as any flagship android phone ($1000+). This phone is great and comes with all the needed apps to get you started, especially people who aren't so tech savvy. The camera on this phone is arguably the best in any smartphone. Open the camera app and start taking pictures, most if not all pictures will be amazing. The screen is OLED and looks great. It also is very durable. Using a black background and changing most of the apps to be in "Dark mode" gives an all day battery life. The bad: No MicroSD slot, only 64GB of storage, no wireless charging, the screen can be a little dim in the sunlight. Even thought the specs don't show it, this is the best phone to buy for the money!
