The phone has dual sim. I purchased the unlocked version and activated with Sprint via esim. You can do the same, you can activate via esim with Sprint and with Airtel via physical sim. I not sure what happens if you deactivate with Sprint for Airtel. You can always contact your carrier. Hope this helps.
