Will this unlocked phone work with Verizon? It is my understanding that if I want a Google Pixel 6 to work with the Verizon ultra 5G network, I'll need the Pixel model that's about $100 more expensive (which is a waste, honestly). null

The $599 will work with Verizon's 5g network. The $699 version will include the mmwave level 5G network. Both phone work with verizon, and with 5G, but if you live in one of the blocks that has mmwave capability, it will not work with this. The standard Pro phone does include mmwave radios by default.

The Pixel 6 supports 5G if your carrier supports it. 5G network support differs by carrier. Visit g.co/pixel/networkinfo to learn about which carriers support 5G on Pixel phones. Make sure to check with your carrier for more details.

Correct, you'll have to buy through Verizon to get model with mmWave and it's $699. Very few places have mmWave and it will be years before it's widespread.
