QuestionSo I just upgraded my internet to where I receive 500 mbps, but I have to google system and I only get 50. Why is this?

- Answer The limited Wi-Fi Internet speed you have could be related to a double NAT issue which happens when you have 2 routers broadcasting the same Wi-Fi SSID and password. To fix this, we recommend disabling the Wi-Fi functionality for your modem/router combo or put it in bridge mode, then set up Google Wifi router as your main router. You can then connect your other Google Wifi points and Nest Wifi points to the main Google Wifi router. QuestionI have Spectrum Modem just for internet services. I purchased the 3 pack Google Nest wifi routers but I am having a problem because they keep losing power, going from blue to red. I unplug and it will light up to blue and within a minute go to red.

- Answer I had 2 scenarios: It happened to me. I was told to position it closer to the component I need it for. After relocating it, it worked. Or, it’s possible that it became bad. I called Google for assistance and did all kind of test. They came to a conclusion that one was bad. So they sent me a replacement.

QuestionI currently have AT&T internet. Would I able able to connect the google wifi system with this type of internet and how would I go about doing it. I currently have a modem in the kitchen but it doesn't reach to all areas of the house. Thank you in advance

- Answer Yes, you can connect Google Nest WiFi with your service provider's modem. You can connect on of Google WiFi points directly to your modem with the Ethernet cable to set it up as your primary point, then place the other Google Wifi points around your house create a mesh Wi-Fi system. You can connect them to each other wireless or via an Ethernet cable. All 3 points combined can give you Wi-Fi coverage of up to 4,500 sq.ft. But make sure to disable the router function of your modem to avoid a Double NAT which can be a problem while gaming online or forwarding ports.

QuestionWill this support a USB tether to my iPhone? I have a second/temporary apartment that I do not need everyday wireless service to. I would like to plug my tethered iPhone into this device to support connecting wireless devices at the apartment.

- Answer Google Wifi only replaces your current router. You will still need to connect Google Wifi's primary point to your modem provided by your ISP, AT&T. Google Wifi points have 2 Gigabit Ethernet ports and can handle up to 1 Gigabit internet.

Questioni have an ATT gateway in our house and need to extend my wifi in another room. i know i can use this mesh device; but how many do i need? it seems i at least need 2 since one has to be connected my gateway at first and the second at minimum to extend WIFI

- Answer How many points you need may depend on the distance you want to cover. We recommend placing the points no more than 2 rooms away from each other.
