These router points communicate over a mesh network wirelessly, there are no cables (other than power of course) to plug into additional wifi points. Only the home point is connected to your modem. Adding additional wifi points would increase the square footage coverage

The Google WiFi App will let you add more AP's using the QR code on the bottom sticker of each AP. If you do not have Google WiFi and want to integrate this into a different type of hardware WiFi network - Not "easy" like the first option.
