My house is ~2500 sq/ft with an attached garage. I placed one of the access points in the middle of the lower level and my garage has excellent WiFi signal strength now. Hope this helps.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I had a very expensive router that was supposed to be able to cover the majority of my house. However I still had to use three Wireless extenders and the quality of the signal was not great. This device is extremely easy to set up and works amazingly! I still get 100 megabits per second about the length of my house from the actual Source Point.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. Not what it is intended to do.... Engenius makes "candy bar" AP's that you'd either put one on the outside of the house pointed at the garage or, if you want a wired connection in the garage, get 2 and use the second as a receiver and drop out the ethernet for wired devices out there.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, if you replace your current wifi router and your garage is close enough to put one of the satellite units in it. If you have a modem/wifi router from your isp you may have to change some settings within the modem first. I have a 2200 sf 2 story home and it works wonderfully. I have no dead or weak spots. Streaming and gaming are surprisingly lag free which I was not expecting from wifi.
