They suggest each unit be 2 rooms away in an open, unobstructed, location. I have one in my home studio over the detached garage (where my PC is), one in my bedroom closest to the studio. And the last one is in my kitchen for the living room TV. When you are setting up, it lets you know if it is receiving a signal from one and then the next. So - yes - like a daisy chain.
I have used extenders and only got a poor signal in the living room. I now have excellent signal everywhere in my house and studio.

Yes they need to be in range, with primary in middle. I have total of 6 with primary in middle and rest around it like a star. 1 was very further so i have to patch it with wired connection so total 4 nodes wireless, 1 node daisy chained to primary with Ethernet cable and primary node connected to ISP's modem. So yes you can daisy chain them but not wirelessly as far as i know and tried. you need to connect them with Ethernet cable to daisy chain them

It's a mesh system, so one has to be within range of another, but NOT necessarily the main device.

I have it 3 separate áreas in my house from top to bottom 3level so far it keeping up. They are about 10ft and 30ft from the main one .

They will automatically "daisy chain" IF needed. That's the whole point of the mesh network tech.
