You can use up to six but you will be surprised. I bought six today thinking the same thing and three units covered my house with ease.

Please try again later.is my understanding that you can add more than three it's a mesh router so essentially what it's doing is repeating the signal either wirelessly or if you plug directly into your land so you can keep adding and adding an addict I'm not sure exactly what the limit is but it's definitely more than three

Make sure you restart the main unit after you plug the new one. This way the main point will recognize a new unit after you plug it back in and you can give it a name and such.
