Dialup, DSL or Cable Modem.... If it has an ethernet out, yes it should work fine.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I cannot think of any reason this would not work with the old linksys router. The google node you plug in will be linked via ethernet cable and that first one becomes your principal wireless router. From there, the other nodes look to that principal node for their signals.
