Dialup, DSL or Cable Modem.... If it has an ethernet out, yes it should work fine.

I don't see why not your modem is DOCSIS 2.0 and google wifi should be backwards compatible. I would highly recommend buying the arris sb6141. That's what I have.

I cannot think of any reason this would not work with the old linksys router. The google node you plug in will be linked via ethernet cable and that first one becomes your principal wireless router. From there, the other nodes look to that principal node for their signals.
