Yes, you can connect Google Nest WiFi with your service provider's modem. You can connect on of Google WiFi points directly to your modem with the Ethernet cable to set it up as your primary point, then place the other Google Wifi points around your house create a mesh Wi-Fi system. You can connect them to each other wireless or via an Ethernet cable. All 3 points combined can give you Wi-Fi coverage of up to 4,500 sq.ft. But make sure to disable the router function of your modem to avoid a Double NAT which can be a problem while gaming online or forwarding ports.
