Yes. Just place the google wifi in Bridge mode.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.according to their website you can absolutely do this but the google wifi must be put into bridge mode and configured like this: cable modem-->3rd party router with NAT and DHCP-->LAN of 3rd party router attached to primary google wifi WAN-->mesh routers either attached through wireless or wired to the primary google wifi LAN port through a whole home switch. Basically to get the mesh working, the MESH nodes need to be downstream of the primary google wifi node. Also I assume you would want to disable the 3rd party base station wifi if it has it to free up wireless space for the mesh network. The bridge mode is to prevent a double NAT that may interfere with port mapping and bonjour access from having two subnets.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This has to be in place of your router
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You can but because it has a fixed LAN address space, you would end up with two networks in your house.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes! Simply use your router without WiFi turned on and make sure that a single Ethernet connection passes through the router on its way to the Google setup as the only connection to any wireless hotspots. You may want to put the whole system in Bridge mode when doing it this way but in doing so you'll lose priority device mode and some of the parental controls.
