“Can I run ethernet from each hub to a device? Example: Hub 1 into modem and Roku. Hub 2 into blu ray player in another room. Hub 3 into PS4 in another room. Is this how it works or is the ethernet only for modem-to-router use?”

Yes. In order to have WiFi tv on same network as Google WiFi I plugged ethernet from tv into Google router.

On hub 1 you will need one of the ethernet connections for you modem. The other ethernet connections are for whatever you want to use them for. I have several devices I need to use an ethernet cable for so I plugged in a multiport switche into two of my Hubs.

You can do what you’re asking. Each hub can hardwire to one device.

yes you could, but why would you do that? The Wi-Fi signal interference and throughput is still your limiting factor. Why not just homerun the wires?
