A:AnswerIt is apparent that you have an issue with this setup.
I would plug directly into the wan port of the main station and perform a speedtest from that device.
If you are having issues on a wireless unit, it may simply be poor placement, check the status of all the units in the app
A:AnswerYes you can make the password whatever you want. The mesh network will appear as a new network but no need to disable Comcast wifi. Very easy set up through app.
A:AnswerI love my Google wifi as it gives seamless coverage throughout our home, including an out-building second story workshop, about 50 feet from the last one that is in our home. Powers wifi on a TV and audio up there. Speed is what I pay for thru Spectrum. Perfect and easy set up. I just bought a 3 pack for my son's family, and he is in the network/tech business. They had coverage issues and it works throughout their 3 stories.
A:AnswerFor full coverage I think you could get away with just 2 but to make sure you get the whole house 3 wouldn't be a bad option either. I'm 99% sure you can't get the whole house with just 1.
A:AnswerBasically it wants to be a replacement of your existing wifi router. It absolutely wants to be the primary router. You can however double-NAT and have a separate network if you really want to keep your old network in place. Also you could make your existing router just be an access point in bridge mode, but you'd probably need an unmanaged switch to facilitate that (router switches tend to block certain types of fancy packets that unmanaged switches wont)
