• According to the GoPro Website you can use the USB C for power, but not anything else. They should have added HDMI thru USB C support when they updated the camera.

• You can but they put the power behind the door so you have to leave it open which makes it susceptible to water penetration. You will also need constant power versus battery. It drains even my 12.5 amp hr lithium in a matter of hours.

• Yes, you can power the MAX with external power through the USB-C port on the camera. Note that when external power is provided, the camera is not waterproof and if you're shooting in 360, the power supply may appear in the recording.
