• Yes you can turn on Hero mode and just use one camera not both.

• You can definitely use the MAX with our Chesty mount, but your chest will obviously block the rear lens and you'd be too close to the lens to get a good stitch. That means that getting a full 360 shot would be tough, but the MAX has a HERO mode that can use just one of the lenses. In HERO mode, you'll get several field of view options with great stabilization. That's going to be your best setup with the MAX on a Chesty.
