A:AnswerHello there - we're happy to tell you how to clean this griddle accessory for your range! This is a cast iron accessory, so you would need to clean it before your first use by using hot water only (no soap) and letting it dry. After cooking, make sure the griddle cools and pour off excess grease. Proceed to wash the griddle in hot water with a sponge or stiff brush, and make sure you don't use any scrubbing pads or steel wool. Once it's washed, dry the accessory with a towel and apply a light coat of cooking spray or vegetable oil. A:AnswerHi, this is a cast iron griddle. It comes preseasoned but it is NOT nonstick. I've had mine couple weeks and have been working at the seasoning with light coat of flax seed oil and in oven 450-500 for an hour, then leave in oven til cool. Have done six coats and still not the finish I was hoping for. However, it is a nice heavy (real heavy) griddle that fits perfectly on the grates. I like it, just not near as well as I hoped!
