“I was watching TV and I received a notice that I should update, and when I clicked ok a few minutes later my remote stopped working, is this because of the updating or did my remote just stop, I replaced the batteries still nothing.”

• I did the update and both of my remotes still work (the one it came with and cable/DVR remote).
