• Yes. The TV supports ARC and eARC over HDMI. As long as your Yamaha receiver has ARC or eARC, it will pass audio from the TV to the receiver.

• Yes, but I'd use a quality HDMI cable that is capable of 2.1 Otherwise, you're not going to get the full effect.
