Nope! You don’t have to worry about any risks. Once you get the Google Home Mini it has a “turn of microphone” toggle on the side of the device if you aren’t fully trusted and not using it. Either way I’ve been using it and in my experience it’s been a blast!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You can ask it a wide variety of questions, so I guess it could be questionable as to the information it can relay. I'm unaware of any options to child proof it. Whatever you can do on the phone, you can ask of it.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. My baby is 21 so I have fewer issues with the Internet than I would have when he was 13 but, in my non-expert opinion, it would enable him to speak to the Internet rather than typing. It searches the same web as an internet search on the computer - I haven't checked to see if my Mini gives me the same responses as my keyboard. It sounds like the issue of the speaker "recording" information when it was not supposed to be doing so have been addressed. Long story short, my understanding is that it is simply a keyboard alternative with audio capabilities.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No risk at all. He can simply just ask the google system questions, weather, and if you have a chromecast connected to a smart tv. He can tell google home to turn on/off the tv. Really neat and interesting to play with.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I would say no. It is really just giving the helpful info and answers to things as well as acting like a Bluetooth speaker.
