No. I don't have any paid serves. You will need a Google account (your gmail account) but that is free. To get the premium music serves like spotty with out adds or YouTube Red you will need a paid service but you can still use the Google Home mini with out them.

Please try again later.From my understanding, you do not have to have anything in particular...you may need a gmail account and have to use the google home app to set it up but you don't need any subscription. You need accounts on the apps it uses tho. For example, to use Pandora, you need an account on there but it does not need to be a paid one.
