- Answer Any new router with WiFi 6 (I assume that is what you mean by T6) will be backward compatible to 2.4 GHz. This thermostat uses 2.4 GHz because it needs the longer distance of 2.4 GHz. Pretty much all Internet of Things appliances like thermostats, doorbells, refrigerators, washers & dryers, garage door openers use 2.4 GHz because they send small amounts of data, but they do need a larger distance coverage.

QuestionI went to work and the AC was off. It was 93 degrees outside. I called my employer who explained that it is battery operated and to replace the batteries. Was it not properly installed? What can be done to prevent recurrence? Thank you.

- Answer You can if you do timed programming, but that is the only way. I wish I had bought one that would go from the heat to the cool to keep the house at a certain temp instead of having to manually change it. I do like this thermostat, especially compared to what i had!!
