Hi ESand! Thank you for reaching us out! The push button requires a CR2032 Battery and the chime 4 C alkaline batteries. The battery life should be approximately of 2 years. However, this varies depending on the usage. We recommend periodically check them, it could be every six months or so, to verify there is no leaking that can damage the unit.
