QuestionI’m replacing a heat pump with W, B, G, R, O and Y on old T874R1749 anyone know how to wire this on new thermostat? Note O and Y both have yellow wire can’t tell if jumpered or not

- Answer It should, o and b are your reversing valve for the heat pump, however I did not see anything about a c, for the best operation it should have c hooked up as well. It actually wont work without the c wire.

QuestionHi.I have all the 5 wires needed on my thermostat. Blue for c. R for red.white for w. Yellow for y. And. Green for G.very simple . But when I put on my. Rth9585wf and power it on nothing happens system won't go on.any help would be appreciated.

- Answer Have you checked the wires at the unit itself? Make sure that the C wire is connected on the c terminal at the unit. I had this same problem and found that this was the issue.

- Answer Not getting a good 24V source, you may have to run new thermostat wire to the indoor unit like I had to do.

QuestionI have a person in my home who cranks the heat up (constantly) to 79 degrees. This temperature is unbearable plus costly as it is a large two-storied home. It what ways can this thermostat help? Desperate.

- Answer I had same problem after installing my Honeywell I set a schedule that was energy saving yet still comfortable and then was able to lock it with an access code to prevent changes and it is easy to monitor via phone app or Alexa and Google home
