• Am answering my own question as I recently found out it's not for oriental carpets that are hand woven as it will completely damage the carpet. It's recommended to have the carpet brought into someone that specializes in cleaning oriental carpets. The manufacturer should have said as much as thank God I didn't buy it for this purpose. I may still buy it for the other carpeting in my home as it would work great for that but not oriental carpets.
