• Hi Don, thank you for the question. Yes, you can adjust the brightness of a backlit keyboard on a Chromebook. Press the Alt key and tap the screen brightness keys to increase or decrease the intensity of your keyboard backlight. It will stay at that level until you change it again or reboot the Chromebook.

• HP says it's the ALT button, but the manual says to hold the CTRL button, then brighter or dimmer.
