This laptop has Windows 10 Home in S mode.  In order to use the Chrome browser, you would need to switch out of the S mode.  You can switch for free.  Here is how to switch out of the S Mode: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/4456067/windows-10-switch-out-of-s-mode  I have a great article on how to transfer old stuff to the new one
