We had a similar problem - we run mac but a particular vendor's software only works on windows. Because the program isn't graphics heavy (which I assume your mortgage program isn't either) it works great. The processor is fast enough, the 4 GB ram is plenty, and we don't use much of the SSD, but its nice that's it's SSD and not a disk which makes it more durable for traveling. The 14 in screen is big enough to see small numbers. So yeah, we're pretty happy with this machine and even happier that it was under $300 because we use it only for 1 task.
