Yes, this laptop can run those programs, however you will need to take it out of Windows 10 S Mode so it will revert to Windows 10 Home. To turn off Windows 10 S Mode, click the Start button then go to Settings > Update & Security > Activation. Select Go to the Store and click Get under the Switch out of S Mode panel. Then click Install and wait for the process to finish.

Yes, it is very good for kids school work. It's easy to use, and works well with Zoom, Cisco Webex, Respondus Lockdown browser, Microsoft Teams, Word, etc.
