- Answer S Mode is preloaded and blocks you from downloading non Microsoft apps like Chrome. You can turn it off, but you can't turn it back on, but that's not necessarily a bad thing.

QuestionI bought this laptop in September. I had been using it for virtual therapy, and then just basic Word usage. However it is already SO SLOW and it pretty much has to be plugged in to even turn on now. I haven’t downloaded anything, why is it DRAGGING?

- Answer Thank you for your question regarding the HP - 14" Laptop 14-dq0051dx. Multiple things could be causing that issue such as an issue with the provider, the modem, the router, cables, updates, and a possible issue with the Wi-Fi card in the laptop. You can contact your provider to check with possibly issues with the network itself and contact HP Support to have them help troubleshoot the laptop.
