Use the usb c port to hdmi or displayport considering usb can run multiple hub s s and up to.3 different monitors all from one display port where hdmi is limited to soningl output. t once similar to the display port. Like hdmi out and another USB-c port and sometimes a 3.5mm Jack and also a usb 3.1 port depending on what adapter you choose. But absolutely go with usb c as it is the far better option. Hdmi port to display port doesnt fully convert properly as display ports are better than hdmi as they can output several different hubs also at the same time so you are only crippling your options. But the hdmi out will display 144hz and the converter to display port is unesasarry. Unless your monitor only supports display port which is rare. Most laptops don't include display ports.
