Good question. The CPU on a laptop generally cannot be upgraded because the motherboard is specific to the all of locations of the ports on the laptop. You would need to find an exact motherboard that would align with all of the ports and be compatible with your laptop and then find a processor to fit that specific motherboard. I hope this helps.
