Exiting S mode is usually accomplished using a link in the Microsoft Store. Be sure your device is updated before trying to do this. Also, HP is INCORRECT when they say you can't return to S Mode. If you reset the laptop to its original state, this will bring S Mode back. The process does, however, wipes the drive, so back up anything you may need before this procedure. There is also another procedure that requires alterations to the Registry, which you can find by searching the internet. This method should only be used by someone who is comfortable making the adjustments, as incorrect steps may render your computer unusable (at least until a reset).

You can switch it out of S Mode to Windows 11 Home. Please contact HP Support for instructions on how to do this. Once you switch out of S Mode, you cannot switch back.
