Make sure that you delete any of the 'bloatware' that comes with the computer if you do not intend on using it. The more you have loaded onto the machine, the slower it will run; and yes this applies to the internet. After doing much research, I deleted all of the programs that I never intended on using, which came pre-loaded on the machine, and it runs fine now; dare I say as fast as my old macbook. It isn't necessarily your ISP, but is likely your HD trying to multi-task, which can take a toll on the overall speed of your machine.
