“I need a basic laptop for home use and for running Steam and RealFlight Evolution for training. I am on a limited, fixed income and don’t need/want a fancy gaming laptop for competing online. Will this laptop be able to serve my basic needs? TIA!”

Thank you for your question on his HP Laptop! This laptop does not meet the processor or graphics requirements for RealFlight Evolution. RealFlight Evolution requires at least an i5 processor and an nVidia or AMD graphics chipset to run. HP offer the Victus gaming laptops, which have these specifications at a reasonable price.

There are numerous name brands and models of laptops which meet or exceed the specifications of the HP Victus, while being much less taxing on what I am gleaning is already a tight budget for you. Keep looking and comparing. You’ll find what you need and you’ll find it in your price range, too!

Please try again later.Even though the Victus has been recommended, there are many other laptops available that will serve your purpose quite well, and at far less money than the Victus. In many cases, such as your “limited, fixed income”, the Victus is not even an affordable option. Best wishes in your search!

Please try again later.The other replies are correct, but I wanted to input additional info: if you are seriously interested in a specific computer, especially one on sale for a limited time only, you should save yourself some time (and money) and visit the website(s) of the manufacturers of the software you want to run, whether it is a AAA game or a spreadsheet. They always list both minimum and recommended hardware and software requirements.
