Review for HP - 17.3” Full HD Laptop
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’ve been using my HP 17.3” Full HD Laptop for the past 2-3 months, and it has been an outstanding performer, especially as I pursue my IT course. As someone training to become an IT Technician, having reliable and fast technology is crucial, and this laptop delivers on all fronts. One of the standout features is the large 17.3-inch Full HD display. While some may find the size a bit overwhelming compared to standard laptops, I find it perfect for multitasking. The spacious screen allows me to easily separate four different windows, making it incredibly efficient to work on multiple assignments simultaneously. The clarity and resolution are top-notch, providing a comfortable and immersive viewing experience whether I’m coding, running virtual machines, or simply typing up reports. Performance-wise, the Intel Core i3 processor, paired with 8GB of memory, handles all the demanding software I need without breaking a sweat. Whether it’s running complex IT tools or handling large datasets, the speed and responsiveness are impressive. The 256GB SSD ensures quick boot times and fast access to my files, which is essential when working under tight deadlines. The build quality is solid, and despite its larger size, it’s surprisingly portable and easy to carry around. The Natural Silver finish gives it a sleek and professional look, while the keyboard is comfortable for extended typing sessions. The trackpad is precise, which enhances overall usability. Overall, I’m extremely satisfied with my purchase. This HP laptop has proven to be a reliable companion in my studies and has exceeded my expectations in terms of performance and functionality. If you’re looking for a powerful machine that can handle intensive tasks with ease, I highly recommend this model.

Great laptop with wonderful screen.
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The screen on this laptop is amazing! This is for my dad so the large screen was ideal. It was easy to set up with the monitor but we wanted him to be able to use it anywhere and still have the large screen. The laptop is large but thin and lightweight so it's easy to travel with.

Good value laptop with 17" screen
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Got this laptop primarily for my fantastly football leagues as the browser option is better than on a phone, and also just for normal web research of news. After 4 months, so far, the laptop has been great. Zippy enough too multitasking. It doesnt last long unplugged if using it... maybe an hour to an hour and a half? Before needing to plug back in. That would be the only bad thing. But not a problem if you are always near power. Clearance price of $150-180 is an absolute steal. But still think its worth the $320 - $350 it normally sits at, since that is still pretty cheap also for a laptop with a 17 inch monitor. The big monitor at 17" is awesome and the reason I did it!

Q: QuestionCan you tell me the upgrade options if any for this laptop? Does it have an option for internal upgrade NVMe or a slot for a memory module? Thank you for your time
Asked by Nick.
- A:Answer You can upgrade it to 32gb. The board has two sockets, one available and the other occupied by a micron 8gb 3200mhz ddr4 stick. I managed to upgrade it myself with a Samsung 8gb 3200mhz ddr4 stick and it works fine in dual channel. There is a dead bay for a 2.5 data drive that I cannot find out if it would support. Hope this helps.

Q: QuestionI was told by a Blue Shirt that this laptop would not be able to be taken out of S mode, is this true? I feel like he was trying to upsell me onto to different laptop models. I understand the security risks but would I be able to turn it off?
Asked by MattyIce.
- A:Answer I have worked on PCs over 40 years and this is a great 17.3 inch machine for the recent sale prices. For generalized tasks there is no need to buy a higher priced model unless you want backlit keyboard or touchscreen models. I've taken my machine out of "S" mode but encountered repeated "Try Again" messages in the process, probably due to temporary Microsoft licensing server issues. I successfully switched to Windows 11 Home version after another 30 minutes later, so no worries if it doesn't work the first times you try. Enjoy!

Q: QuestionI need a basic laptop for home use and for running Steam and RealFlight Evolution for training. I am on a limited, fixed income and don’t need/want a fancy gaming laptop for competing online. Will this laptop be able to serve my basic needs? TIA!
Asked by RCAV8R.
- A:Answer Thank you for your question on his HP Laptop! This laptop does not meet the processor or graphics requirements for RealFlight Evolution. RealFlight Evolution requires at least an i5 processor and an nVidia or AMD graphics chipset to run. HP offer the Victus gaming laptops, which have these specifications at a reasonable price.
