I was able to disable S mode after a couple days but, had to jump through hoops! Updating Microsoft store etc. Here is the link that helped me. Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have the same issue. Contacted Microsoft technical support multiple times and they were unable to fix it. Gonna return this laptop and get a Mac. To HP: you need to get with the folks at Microsoft to fix this issue or you will find your most loyal customers looking at a different brand of laptop without the s mode issues.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I returned both of these because you couldn't disable S mode. Even the Geeks Squad guys were perplexed. I bought one, returned it, bought another that we tried to set up. Same issue. It seems that all the lower priced laptops have this issue. We tried a few others and they all did the same thing. You went thru the steps and then it would crap out. I ended up getting a refurbished Lenovo.
