As noted, there is a trial version. Additionally, there are a number of options for subscribing to or buying the suite, including discounted home and student versions. Furthermore, you can use any individual component (Word, Excel, etc.) through the Edge browser. Finally, if you don't absolutely need the MS version, there are a number of free suites available on the web that may even be better for your purposes than Microsoft's.
