“Has anyone been able to hook up 2 monitors to this laptop? I just found out that the 1 USB Type-C 5Gbps signaling rate (supports data transfer only and does not support charging or external monitors). Hope this helps others as I found out the hard way.”

Thank you for your question! This laptop is not designed with multiple-monitor setups in mind. only using the built-in display and another that is connected through the HDMI port. If you need dual-monitor capability, the HP Pavilion, Envy, and Spectre series laptops and convertibles offer USB-C ports that have DisplayPort pass-through along with power delivery and you will be able to power two monitors through those using either the USB-C input on a monitor or a USB-C dock. Envy and Spectre both support Thunderbolt, which will allow to connect even more peripherals via a dock.
