Yes, the HP site has a list of all of the specifications. I wanted the DVD/RW (also plays CDs) player because a lot of my old pictures are backed up in that format. Also when travelling I can stop at the Redbox to watch a new movie. This feature is included in only a few computers now.

This model does have a disk drive.
