Yes, and yes, "Dave" is only partially correct. Since Office 2016 is a Microsoft product, you don't have to exit S Mode to install it. However, since you will already have the trial Office 365 on the device, you may have to uninstall 365 to use 2016, or have a conflict between the two programs.

You should have no problems running MS Office 2016, although most Microsoft software licenses (outside of MS 365) are limited to installation on one device.

You may be able to install your own copy, but you probably would have to permanently forgo the internal security of Windows 11-S. You could take your chances or install aftermarket security which will slow things down.
