Hi Laurie, Unfortunately, the answer is probably no. Chromebooks are not able to run traditional applications that run on Windows or Mac devices. Generally speaking, Chromebooks run an enhanced version of the chrome web browser and are built for people who live and work using the web. You can do word processing using Google's Docs service or similar products like Word Online which is part of the Office 365 subscription but if you have to use an older application like Word Perfect x7 you will need a Windows device. One quick note, looking online it does not appear that the original version of WordPerfect X7 runs on Windows 10 which means that you have have to patch the software (it looks like X7 service pack 2 might make the software compatible with Windows 10) or upgrade to a newer version of Word Perfect to get the software to work with a modern laptop running an update to date version of Win 10.
